So I broke my hand a couple of weeks ago in training and it’s been tough not being able to train. However I took this time to work on another part of my Jiu-Jitsu game. With only a limited amount of time left before IBJJF Worlds Masters in September, I can’t afford to not improve any way possible. So i decided to take this time and work with professionals on getting my neurons and nerves working at the most efficient level.
I was lucky enough to get my first assessment done at 3D Learner Sports in Boca Raton, FL.
Working with their Director, Michael Halpert, I was able to get my initial assessment and discovered some amazing insights about my brain’s performance during stress inducing situation.
Seeing the numercial data on how my eyes, hands and brain act and respond was completely mind blowing.
Any professional athlete will tell you that you need any edge over your opponent that you can legally get and to me almost any match is won or lost before you even get on the mat.
You can meditate all you want but if your neurons aren’t firing at their optimum levels, you won’t be able to act/react accordingly.
I can’t wait to see how my numbers improve leading up to my return on the mats in the next few weeks.
